According to the belief of the Hittites this ceremonial object was placed on a hill or a high mountain so that the terracotta pot exposed to the sun could draw the rays of the sun.

In addition, the wine inside was considered a sacred drink specially offered to kings and religious ceremonies.

This atypical pot reflects the touches of the distant past.

Entirely handmade with red clay from Cappadocia, this object was turned on a pottery wheel by its craftsman Mehmet Körükcü.

It can be used as a decorative object or as a water or wine container.
