This pot made with red clay from Cappadocia was turned on a potter's wheel then baked in a wood fire and polished with a piece of iron; a polishing technique used by craftsmen of the Urartu civilization (11,000-9,000)

The reddish spots appearing on the surface of the pot are caused by the fact that the product has been cooked over a wood fire.

The object can be used as a decorative object or as a water pot or wine container.
